Our School

Miss Alice’s Dance School is a very new school opening in September 2023 founded and created by Alice Lidgard. At MADS we aim to create a fun, inspiring and welcoming environment by sharing the benefits of Performing with Gainsborough. The vision of the school is to grow further, increasing in numbers and classes (if you have any suggestions please fill in our feedback and interest forms) whilst creating a family environment that's fun and fulfilling. We can't wait to build a new generation of performers who are examples of discipline, talent, motivation, and respect.

Principal

Miss Alice

Hello everyone!

My name is Alice Lidgard and I am the Principal here at MADS.

I began my dance journey from the age of three in a baby ballet class and since then have never stopped dancing !

Since then I continued dance in all styles, attending North Lindsey College for two years achieving a distinction* in dance (equivalent to three a levels) and then studied for three years at the Prestigious London Studio Centre studying under some of the best teachers in the industry and growing as a dancer, teacher and individual. I am also currently completing my PGCE in Primary School education and can't wait to be a qualified Primary school teacher!

I am DBS checked and am First Aid trained I also have my Fire Safety Certificate, and Safeguarding Children awareness certificate and have ensured we are fully insured.

I have taught and led dance classes for many years in both London and the local area now teaching a range of ages and styles and there is nothing I love more. I am incredibly passionate about dance and the benefits it can have for children and make sure every dance space is inclusive, educational, kind and most importantly fun.

I believe this is only the beginning for MADS and I cannot wait to train the stars of the future!

Hi, my name is Angela Lidgard and if you haven't guessed I'm Alice's mum!

Although I have no experience teaching dance I have been watching Miss Alice dance for years now and I am a very good dance mum. But don't worry I will not be teaching dance instead, I will be assisting Miss Alice by helping keep everyone well-behaved, safe and having fun. I love working with children and have done so for many years now being a Guides and Brownie leader for ten years!

I'm also DBS checked, First Aid trained, and have my Safeguarding awareness .

I can’t wait to assist Miss Alice and help MADS grow!

The Studio

Our classes are based in the beautiful Marshalls Sports Ground Pavillion in Middlefield Lane, Gainsborough, just a 3-minute drive from Gainsborough town centre. The pavilion boasts a gorgeous 52 x32 ft wooden floored studio. The pavilion offers onsite parking for 60 cars plus 4 disabled bays. (however, this may be limited due to the football matches taking place but alternate street-side parking is available.)
