 Policies 

Policies are put in place at Miss Alice's Dance School to ensure a safe, fair and happy environment.

FEES AND ATTENDANCE

Fee policies will be put in place to ensure the correct treatment of staff and clientele.

  1. All fees are non-refundable. If a pupil has a long-term illness or injury, fees may be refunded at the Principal’s discretion.

  2. Classes are £3 per half hour, and £4.50 per hour, failure to make payment will mean no access to class unless agreed otherwise by the Principal.

  3. Our preferred method of payment is via our PayPal system, if you are unable to do this please contact me at MAdanceschool@icloud.com

  4. A child cannot take part in class if the enrolment forms are not completed due to safety reasons.

  5. ​Unless an unexpected closure occurs, such as weather, or extreme staff illness all cancelled classes will be given at least 1 week's notice. 

  6. On the rare occasion that a class is cancelled, it will be rescheduled. If this is not possible, any fees already paid for the scheduled class will be refunded.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOUR OF MADS 

A certain Behaviour is expected of Staff, Pupils and Parents/Guardians at MADS to ensure a safe and fair enviroment.

  1. Be on time for classes and ready to dance from the start time of class e.g. be dressed and prepared.

  2. Contact MADS if absent from class.

  3. Act in a polite, kind and respectful manner towards all teachers and dancers to contribute to a kind and safe environment, actions that are unkind and disrespectful will be met with appropriate action.

  4. Attend class in appropriate dancewear in the correct and appropriate uniform.

  5. Respect the studio and all MADS properties such as props and sound systems.

  6. If I have a dance or movement-related problem, I will discuss this with a teacher. We want all our dancers to be safe and happy .

  7. Dancers will ask permission before leaving the room.

  8. Take responsibility for all belongings brought on property, we are not responsible for any of your lost or damaged belongings .

  9. Parents of children in Tiny Boppers must remain on the premises for the duration of their class.

  10. Students in all classes must be collected from the teacher or teacher assistant. The teacher must be informed if persons other than the child’s parent or legal guardian will collect the child.   

  11. Understand that in order to assist students and their learning the teacher may physically help the student by touch (performed in a respectful and professional manner) If this is a concern for you please contact us.

  12. Refrain from taking pictures of other parents' children without their permission, all photos taken and used by us will be on the basis of receiving permission from parents. 

  13. All injuries will be reported to guardians and treated by a first aider.

By attending MADS you are expected to adhereto this “Code of Conduct” and agree to conduct yourself according to the principles and regulations of MADS.
